Super cute nursery fabrics and bedding from Lulu DK on OKL!

I love the Peach Sprinkles crib skirt, which would go perfectly with the peach curtains and blue rug we already have.

I'm just burning doin' the (Lupron) dance

Thank you Pointer Sisters for giving us many of the soundtracks of the 80's. Sorry if you aren't old enough to know what I'm talking about. Trust me, it was good. ;)

I don't want to take it anymore
I'll just stay here locked behind the door
Just no time to stop and get away
'Cause I work so hard to make it everyday

Whoo oooh
Whoo oooh

There's no money falling from the sky
'Cause a man took my heart and robbed me blind
Someone stole my brand new Chevrolet
And the rent is due, I got no place to stay

Whoo oooh
Whoo oooh

(chorus)

And it's hard to say
Just how some things never change
And it's hard to find
Any strength to draw the line
I'm just burning doin' the neutron dance
I'm just burning doin' the neutron dance

Industry don't pay a price that's fair
All the common people breathing filthy air
Roof caved in on all the simple dreams
And to get ahead your heart starts pumping schemes

(chorus)

Whoo oooh
Whoo oooh
I'm on fire
I'm on fire

(chorus)

I know there's a pot of gold for me
All I got to do is just believe
I'm so happy doin' the neutron dance
And I'm just burning doin' the neutron dance
I'm so happy doin' the neutron dance
I'm just burning doin' the neutron dance

Not half baked

Not even a little bit baked, just jaded and scared and marking imaginary milestones... :/

This week I start Lupron again, exactly five months to the very day that I started it for my fresh cycle, which is weird. I managed to avoid having too many side effects last go round, but then again I was only on 5 units/day. On Wednesday, I start on 10 units/day to completely suppress me, which should be interesting. It's been almost four months since I've shot up with anything at all. Oh syringes, how I've missed you.

FET schedule

I wish I would have put this into calendar form for easy reading, but work is nuts.  So without further ado, my FET schedule...

3/12: CD1
3/13-25: BCP
3/23-TBD: 10 units of Lupron and baby aspirin daily (end date TBD)
4/1: b/w-u/s appt.
4/1: begin E2 patches
4/15: b/w-u/s-lining check appt.
4/21: P4 check (may vary based on lining check)
4/21: begin PIO, Medrol and tetracycline daily
4/27: scheduled 5dt (if lining is slow, then this could get pushed back a few days)
5/7: beta test (9dp5dt) (EDD 1/12/12, or est. 12/21/11 arrival @ 37w for two)

Unfortunately, our clinic can't/won't do split billing for our FET, as we still have a little bit of insurance coverage left, so we will have to pay for it OOP ($2900 from the FSA) and submit to insurance afterwards in hopes of getting some partial reimbursement after discounts.  I'm really hoping we won't ever have to cycle again, but as per usual I'm probably way too optimistic for my own good. :)

On a separate note, today is my and DH's 4 1/2 year wedding anniversary!  What a ride it has been so far!  I love you hon! :)

Meds are on their way!

I started my BCP yesterday, and it's of course been awhile since I've taken them since I didn't for my IVF cycle (I think I took a few days for one of my surgeries). It was funny when I went to pick them up at the pharmacy, since they called them in and apparently my RE insists on brand name BCP (odd since legally they have to be exactly the same) which were $53 for one pack. While not a big deal in the scheme of things, I found it ironic because I almost always took generic ones, so I've never paid that much for three months of them when I actually took them for their intended purpose. I asked if that was the price w/insurance, since this is the only med that would be covered under my regular insurance. It was actually somehow MORE with insurance, which makes no sense at all, so I paid for them on my own.

Freedom called this morning to finalize my FET med order. Since a lovely local fellow IFer, who is now pg after I raved about and she went and did IVF @ AF, sent me 30 E2 patches she had left over, this saved me a couple hundred bucks. So my Lupron, HCG, PIO, tetracycline, medrol, and prometrium is only $370. Not too shabby, beats the $2500 we paid for our fresh cycle meds. Too bad we don't have more embies to do FETs with before having to do a fresh cycle again.

FET is ON!

It's been quite a week, which I will undoubtedly drone on about later...

But this morning AF FINALLY decided to show (right on time!), so our FET is finally ON! It's been a REALLY long 2 1/2 months of waiting to get to this point again.

I start BCP tomorrow and the meds schedule lasts the next 6 1/2 weeks, with my transfer tentatively scheduled for Wed. April 27th. This puts my beta in exactly 8 weeks, on Mother's Day weekend, May 7th...
