We are coming down from the excitement of the twins' big party yesterday. It went really well, but I swear I'm never throwing a party that big (for nearly 60) primarily by myself again. A big shout out to Costco catering, always a hit. We opened their gifts today and it was a bit overwhelming, (the gifts and the love) for everyone. They won't need anything new for a LONG time. As these things usually are, it was mostly for the adults, though all the kids had a great time too. It was a bit of a reintroduction of me to society, I guess, as I plan to actually get out of the house in their second year.
As part of my decompression, I'm Downtoning tonight. I watched it when it first started, but then life happily got in the way of watching it regularly. Netflix calls it "cerebral" and "understated", which may explain why it is right up my alley. I'm more foreign film than reality show, that's for sure. The third season starts tonight, check it out on PBS.
